The north of AZ884 is divided into districts, each 100 × 100 tiles. Their names work like a chessboard:
- Letter = column from west to east, from A to U
- Number = row from the cliff in the north southward, from 1 to 11
`` Cliff (north) A-1 … J-1 [K-1] L-1 … U-1 ← start A-2 … J-2 K-2 L-2 … U-2 ← toward the river … … … A-11 … K-11 … U-11 ``
Important districts
| District | What is there |
|---|---|
| K-1 | your start at the cliff |
| K-2 | the first district in the tutorial, toward the river canyon |
| J-1 and L-1 | the neighbors to the west and east along the cliff |
The player panel at the top left always shows the district you are looking at, for example "DISTRICT K-1". Hover over it to see all your districts.
Rings
The farther a district lies from the start, the more expensive boulders and mesas get there and the more valuable the finds. The first ring around K-1 is deliberately kept cheap (Boulders, Mesas and Toxic Lakes).
Your districts do not have to form a rectangle. If you buy in an L shape, the missing corner stays fogged and locked.
