Special Finds
Ruby, artifact, plasma core and energy crystal: where they come from, how to find them and what you need them for.

Every now and then your mines dig up something rare. You need these special finds for the big things: new districts, the stadium, the highest upgrade levels and the research lab.
| Find | Comes from |
|---|---|
| !Ruby Ruby | pig iron mine, mesas, shop |
| !Artifact Artifact | kryptonite mine, mesas |
| !Plasma core Plasma core | spice mine, synthesis in the lab, shop |
| !Energy crystal Energy crystal | spice mine, mesas |
How to find them
- Finds are very rare. The more a mine produces, the sooner it finds something. If you need a find, turn up the load and pay the wages for it. That is the trade-off.
- If a mine has bad luck for a long time, the find eventually comes guaranteed.
- Some mesas carry finds. Demolish them and the find is yours (Boulders, Mesas and Toxic Lakes).
- The tutorial gives you a guaranteed ruby, and the gifted kryptonite mine holds one too shortly after you inaugurate it.
- The Daily Bonus in the District Null Tower gives you a ruby on the last day of the calendar.

Collecting
When a mine finds something, a large symbol floats above it. Click the mine and the find window opens first. With "Collect" the find flies into your resource bar. Finds wait patiently at the mine and are never lost.
Storage
Special finds go into the colony vault. It needs no warehouse slot and has no limit.
