Getting Started
Speed: Real Time, Fast and Light
How fast a game hour passes, what speeds up with it and what stays in real time.
Every city has its own clock. For season and free cities you choose how fast it runs when you found them.
| Speed | Factor | One game day lasts |
|---|---|---|
| Real time | 1× | one real day |
| Fast | 24× | one hour |
| Light | 288× | five minutes |
Endless cities always run in real time.
What speeds up
Everything involving time and money follows your city's clock:
- taxes, rent, wages and running costs
- output of mines and blast furnaces
- growth, construction times, upgrades and relocations
- research, overdrive protocols and student projects
- shifts of police, fire department, hospital, cinema and park
- emergency calls, concerts and match days
- repayment of the development loan and the daily installments of the District Bank
All numbers in this wiki are per game hour or game day. In a Light city many game days pass within a single real hour.
What stays in real time
- cars, people, animations and the camera
- shop boosters, Premium and your VIP level
- the deposit interest of the District Bank and the world market
- the match day of the world league
Offline
If you are offline, everything keeps running. Fast cities keep going without you for at most 336 game hours, then the clock waits until you come back.
