Afterwards the research lab can produce plasma cores: one core per run, lasting 7 days. The lab draws an extra 60 MW while doing so. Without that power, production stops.

Each run costs 12,000,000 $, 300 cobalt alloy and 1,500 spice. Synthesis has its own slot and does not block research.
