Fleet Base

Your space station in orbit. You reach it through a portal on the roof of a skyscraper. Missions start here and your coalition begins here.

Test pilot

The fleet base is a roof build for a Skyscrapers. Once it is finished, a teleporter portal with a pillar of light stands on the roof. The button Fleet Base floats above it. One click and the camera rises in the beam of light up into orbit to your space station. Zoom far out of your city and you already see the station as an outline high above the roof.

How to build it

  1. Build a skyscraper on the upper level.
  2. Open its window and switch to the Roof tab. All roof builds are shown there as tiles, for the fleet base also how many you already have.
  3. Choose Fleet Base. If the roof platform is still missing, the same order builds it too. Its cost of 25,000,000 $, 600 krypto steel and 120 plasma steel is added, and both finish at the same time.

During construction the tab only shows the fleet base with a clock that counts down to the second. Below it, Finish now completes the build with Urplasma. The price depends on the remaining time like on every Construction Site, Build Time and Material. The first click asks, only the second one pays.

Urplasma
With urplasma the base is finished at once

In orbit

Up here you no longer see your city. Below you the planet turns with its cloud cover. On the day side the atmosphere glows blue, on the night side violet. There the lights of the cities sparkle and lightning flashes through the purple Spacia storms. Above it spreads a starry sky with nebulae and the sun. The station has a hangar, a tower, service buildings and a tank farm, a light shield arches over it. A runway with chaser lights leads out into space over two arms. Tankers and tugs drive between the 3 ship slots. Ships on a mission take off from the runway, returning ones land there again.

The orbit has its own bar at the bottom:

  • Ships: which ship stands where. From here you bring ships from other hangars to a free slot.
  • Missions: the four flights of the base.
  • Reports: opens your mailbox.
  • Coalition: your alliance with other players (Coalitions).
  • Back: back to the city.

Missions

Under Missions there are four cards, all built the same way. Each shows duration, spice and risk. If you lack spice, the number turns red. If a flight is not possible right now, only the Launch button is locked.

  • Spacia raid: 8 hours, the ship brings back loot.
  • Exploration: the ship roams around and reports finds until you call it home.
  • Trader: 2 hours for 25 spice. Your goods leave at launch, the ship brings the traded goods back. The trader flies once a day, until then the card shows when it is back.
  • To the coalition: sends resources to your coalition's storage. You need no ship for it, the transport arrives after 2 h. This only works from your home city.

For the first three you pick a free ship. Each base takes one mission at a time. Everything about ships and loot is under Fleet and missions.

Unloading

When a ship returns, its cargo stays on board at first. The ship is then listed under Not unloaded yet. A click on Unload books everything at once: money into the treasury, resources and metals into storage, special finds into the vault. A loaded ship flies no new mission and cannot be moved.

Mailbox

Every return brings you a message with the loot. Below it you see whether it has been unloaded, and a button takes you straight to the base. Attacks, creatures, finished ships and defences, messages from your coalition and from the Federation also land here. In orbit you open the mailbox with Reports, in the city with the button at the top right next to the tasks. Tabs sort by fleet, coalition, Federation and system.

Key to the coalition

You can only join a coalition with a finished fleet base. The city you join from becomes your home city. Coalition bonuses and boosts go there. You also pay resources into the coalition storage at the fleet base (Storage and bonuses).

Older bases

The fleet base used to be a large building directly on the platforms. Such bases keep running as normal. New ones can only be built on a roof.

Frequently asked questions

How many fleet bases can I build?

At most 3 per city, each on its own skyscraper.

Can I change the roof build later?

Yes, but only once no ship stands on the base's slots and no mission from there is under way.

Do I need the base for ships?

You can build ships without one, they then need a base or roof hangar. Missions only start from the fleet base.
