The land in the north of AZ884 is not empty. Boulders, rock needles and mesas stand in the way, and in the toxic forests there are lakes nobody wants to live next to.

Boulders
Boulders block districts and buildings. Click one and have it cleared. In the start area they cost little:
| Size | Money | Metal |
|---|---|---|
| small | 20,000 $ | 10 |
| medium | 50,000 $ | 25 |
| large | 90,000 $ | 50 |
The farther a district lies from the start, the more clearing costs. Large boulders in distant districts also cost kryptonite. ESC closes the window.

Rock needles and small mesas
Rock needles and small mesas can be demolished, large plateaus never. Hover over a rock and a sign shows what you get for it. A click opens the menu with costs, loot and chances.

- Fixed loot: many mesas carry a visible find. The color of the crystals on top and at the foot tells you which: red means rubies (Ruby), purple an artifact, yellow energy crystals, orange plasma cores. Almost every district from the first ring on has one ruby mesa.
- Chances: in distant districts there are also chances for artifacts, energy crystals and plasma cores.
- Price: in the start area and the first ring the rocks are deliberately cheap. The farther out, the more expensive, up into the tens of millions.

If money is short, Urplasma covers it at shop prices. Your money is used first.
Lucky blast
The 🍀 lucky blast doubles your chances of a find in exchange for Urplasma, up to almost a sure thing. It pays off for rocks with a good chance of an artifact or an energy crystal.
Toxic lakes

Nobody can remove the toxic lakes in the dead forests. No residential district may ever stand in the lake or within a border of 3 tiles. The field info shows "uninhabitable" there. Trade and industry may go right up to the shore.
