Energy Relay
Steel towers with glowing cables: how to carry power from a plant into districts beyond its reach.
An energy relay passes power on from a power plant or from the previous relay. With it you reach districts and buildings outside a plant's range, without building a new plant right away. The building is under Transmitter Station.

Building a chain
- The first relay stands anywhere within the reach of a fusion or thermal power plant.
- Every further relay stands at most 50 tiles from the previous one.
- A sagging glowing cable links the relays, bright pulses run away from the plant.

The build preview shows the cable route and the reach. You may build without a connection, but the relay then stays without power until a relay in between links it up.
Priority
Relays only deliver once every consumer connected directly to a power plant is supplied. A hospital reached only by relay therefore comes after a directly supplied residential area (Power and Distribution).
Changing the source
If several power plants or relays are within reach, you can change the source in the relay window: from a list or by clicking on the map. A relay without a connection shows up under problems in the energy menu.
