Buildings
Every building from the build menu with costs, build time, power, range and what it does for your city.
The build menu at the bottom has six tabs: Colony for districts, roads and tools, Industry for power, resources and storage, City Services for safety, education and traffic, Entertainment for everything that makes your city more popular, Plateau for the way up to the upper level and Major Projects for the buildings you work on for days.
Every building page shows a fact sheet with all values taken straight from the game: building costs, build time, placement, power, range and running costs. Below it you find the upgrade levels, if there are any. The text explains what the building really does in the simulation and what to watch out for.
Don't forget the inauguration
Most large buildings do not start on their own when construction is done. A bell then hangs above the building. Click it and inaugurate the building. Only then do power plants deliver power, mines dig and services take effect. Mines and the blast furnace start at 1 % load, and you raise the load yourself afterwards.

Colony
Open DistrictThe residential district with family homes and gardens. With high demand, rows of houses with a green backyard appear.
Dense DistrictShops below, apartments and offices above. Towers with up to 30 floors grow here, but only in very good conditions.
Industrial DistrictFrom scrapyard to large factory. Industry brings many jobs and high taxes, but also smog.
HinterlandFree space in your districts fills up over time with caravans, shacks, tents and street food yards.
Roads and HighwayRoads connect everything. Without a road nearby nobody moves in and no building can be built.
Demolish and RelocateWith the excavator you clear space, with the hover truck you move a special building to a new spot.Industry
Fusion Power PlantThe most important power source of your colony. The first plant is a gift, and with upgrades it delivers up to 105 MW.
Red FusionReward from VIP level 4. Its red core delivers five times the power of a Fusion Power Plant.
Thermal Power PlantCheaper and faster to build than a Fusion Power Plant. It delivers less power but closes gaps in the grid nicely.
Transmitter StationA relay that passes power on from the power plant. This is how you build a grid into distant districts.
Weapons FactoryBuilds ships and defense units and is the base of your military. Each factory has its own orders and its own staff.
Pig Iron MineWhere all production starts. The mine at the cliff face delivers pig iron and, once upgraded, chrome ore and cobalt ore.
Blast FurnaceTurns pig iron into metal and, with every level, into better alloys up to plasma steel. It needs lots of power and causes lots of smog.
Kryptonite MineDigs into a Kryptonite deposit as a deep funnel. You need Kryptonite for krypto steel, better mines and the Spice Mine.
Spice MineStands in the middle of the canyon's blue lava river and pulls spice out of the current. Spice is the colony's most valuable material.
StorageEvery storage building has three slots, and you choose the resource for each one. Sell surplus straight from storage.
Data CenterReward from VIP level 7. Raises industrial demand across the whole city and grants computing boosts and AI projects.City Services
PoliceThe police keep crime low within their range. That mainly protects commerce and dense districts.
Fire StationThe fire station lowers the fire risk within its range. It only protects industry once it has hazmat trucks.
HospitalThe hospital lowers illness within its range. Residential districts without good care lose value.
SchoolGood schools make residential districts more popular and raise the rent. With a college branch, the university becomes possible.
Bus StopBuses take cars off the road and bring more guests to the stadium, concert hall, casino, school, park and cinema.
Taxi StandReward from VIP level 6. Makes all districts around it more popular and counts like another bus stop for many buildings.
City HallReward from VIP level 3. The City Hall raises all tax income of your city by 5%.Entertainment
Space Pilot StatueReward from VIP level 1. The statue honours the colony's first pilots and makes all districts around it more popular.
Plasma FountainReward from VIP level 2. The fountain with glowing plasma water mainly upgrades residential districts.
ParkA park makes residential districts more popular and filters the smog around it. It needs power and a gardener.
Space BurgerReward from VIP level 5. A burger joint with drive-in and delivery service that runs in three shifts and makes money.
CasinoThe casino entertains the city and makes money when enough guests come. But it attracts crime.
CinemaThe cinema shows films in up to three shifts a day. The longer it is open, the stronger its effect.
Concert HallBands you book for an evening play here. Without a booking, the house band takes the stage.Bits CubeOnly available in the Bits shop of the Bitmeup portal. It delivers a little power and brings entertainment to nearby residential districts.
StadiumThe largest entertainment building in the city. On match days up to 64,000 spectators come, and even more with your own club.
ArenaThe hall for ice hockey and basketball, with a big screen and a video cube above the court. Up to 18,000 spectators.Plateau
Small Access TowerA narrow lattice tower on a single tile. The cheapest way up, with a small catchment area.
Medium Access TowerThe medium access tower on 2 × 2 tiles. A larger catchment area below and more room for platforms above.
Large Access TowerThe large access tower on 4 × 4 tiles with the largest catchment area. Bus stops and taxi stands extend it further.
PlatformPlatforms are the ground of the upper level. Later, the skyscrapers rise on them.
SkyscrapersTowers with up to 26 floors on the platforms of the upper level. You fill every floor yourself.High-rise IndustryIndustry for the upper level. Still classified.Major Projects
Fleet BaseYour space station in orbit. You reach it through a portal on the roof of a skyscraper. Missions start here and your coalition begins here.
Particle ShieldHuge shield dome over the city. Reliably keeps small attackers out.
District Null TowerThe landmark of District Null with an LED facade and a circling logo. In the tower you collect a reward every day.
Research LabIn the lab you research improvements for energy, mines, blast furnaces, storage and city services. A major project over several days.
UniversityThe university brings more taxes from commerce and industry. Students work on projects that last 7 days.
