Highway

A highway already runs through your district. It belongs to the planetary network linking all districts of AZ884 and cannot be demolished. Your city depends on it: commuters from outside, deliveries and through traffic arrive over it.

Your own highways

You can build highway pieces yourself, four tiles wide, for long distances and very heavy traffic. On the highway cars only drive straight or exit, there is no turning around.

Connecting to the highway

There are no signalized junctions at the highway. When a road crosses a highway, a cloverleaf interchange appears on its own, at no extra cost:

• The road crosses the highway as a bridge.
• Turning right uses an outer ramp at ground level.
• Turning left uses a loop, three quarters of a circle that leads to the other side.
• There are no traffic lights anywhere, everything flows.

If the road ends at the highway, a T interchange appears with loops on the empty side. Everything else is explained under Highway Interchange.
