Buses and Bus Stops
How bus stops take cars off the road, bring more guests to stadium, concerts and more, and what the bus network costs.
Bus stops take cars off the road and bring more guests to entertainment and schools. The building is under Bus Stop.

Construction
A stop costs 30,000 $ and 5 metal, needs 0.1 MW of power and stands right by the road.
What the bus brings
- Less traffic: whoever lives within the catchment of 8 tiles may switch to the bus. Together, buses relieve traffic by up to 50%.
- More guests: stops within a building's catchment extend its reach, up to 3 stops count:
| Building | Reach per stop |
|---|---|
| Stadium | +15 tiles |
| Arena | +12 tiles |
| Concert hall | +10 tiles |
| School | +10 tiles |
| Casino | +8 tiles |
| Park | +15 tiles |
Access towers and the cinema also benefit from stops nearby. A district needs a bus stop or access tower nearby to reach "very good" (District Value and Field Info).
Setting up the bus network
Click a stop. The settings apply to all stops together:
| Frequency | Passengers per stop and day | Cost per stop and day |
|---|---|---|
| very rare | 150 | 150 $ |
| rare | 300 | 300 $ |
| medium | 500 | 550 $ |
| frequent | 800 | 900 $ |
| very frequent | 1,200 | 1,400 $ |
On top of that, free Wi-Fi (40 $ per stop and day), cleanliness and air-conditioned buses make the bus more popular. The better the settings, the more people ride along.
Load
Each stop shows its load. If it is too full even at the highest frequency, put a second stop next to it. Both share the area.
