Spice drifts as a glowing powder in the blue lava river of the canyon. It boosts energy and is the most valuable resource of the colony.
Output
The spice mine stands in the middle of the river and sucks the spice out of the current. You can also build several of them. In the tutorial the General gives it to you, otherwise it becomes buildable once your kryptonite mines have produced 5 t.

Spice is expensive: high wages, lots of power, few tons. From level 3 of the research Spice Suction you can upgrade the mine.
What you need it for
- plasma steel: 2 t of spice per ton
- upgrading fusion power plants to levels 2 and 3, in large amounts
- access towers and platforms of the upper level
- the research lab and plasma synthesis
The spice mine finds plasma cores and, very rarely, energy crystals. Sale value: 2,200 $ per ton.
